MTPS Staff Begin the 2026–2027 School Year 💙
Before welcoming students back, Monroe Township Public Schools staff came together this morning for the district’s opening in-service and a day centered on preparation, connection, and shared responsibility.

Staff started the morning with a complimentary breakfast, generously provided by the MTEA, with support from Chartwells and our Food Services team members, before gathering for remarks from Superintendent Dr. McBride. During his presentation, Dr. McBride welcomed new staff members, recognized those preparing to retire, and reviewed important updates for the year ahead, including the district’s attendance and internet-enabled device policies.
The morning also included a guest presentation focused on opioid awareness and addiction prevention. Staff learned more about recognizing potential warning signs, responding in an emergency, and the role each member of our school community can play in supporting those who may need help. The session also highlighted Student Assistance Counselors and School Resource Officers as trusted resources for students and staff.

With the first day of school approaching, today gave our team an important opportunity to begin the year informed, connected, and focused on supporting the students and families we serve.
We’re looking forward to a strong start to the 2026–2027 school year at Monroe Township Public Schools! 💙
